Spark New Zealand Ltd in-house lawyer Sasha Daniels has been named the individual winner of the Competition category in the Association of Corporate Counsel 2017 Asia-Pacific Counsel Awards.

The winners were honoured at a gala dinner and awards ceremony hosted at the China Club in Hong Kong on 23 March 2017.

The award winners will be shortlisted for the Global Counsel Awards, which will be held in New York in June.

Held in association with Lexology and the International Law Office, the awards are decided through nomination by in-house lawyers and legal departments worldwide. Respondents were asked to focus on criteria such as effective communication, legal understanding, commercial awareness, depth and strength of team and management skills.

Sasha Daniels was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in March 2012 and is based in Auckland. He is a Senior Counsel.
