Susanne Ruthven has joined the Ministry for Pacific Peoples as Chief Legal Counsel.
Before joining the ministry she was a barrister at Harbour Chambers in the areas of public law, constitutional law, international law and human rights. She joined Harbour Chambers in 2015.
Ms Ruthven was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in May 2005. She has worked as a solicitor of the public law team at Ministry of Fisheries (now Ministry for Primary Industries) responsible for the ministry’s litigation files, and as a barrister at Blackstone Chambers in the areas of human rights, international law, public law, and judicial review.
