How to make your CPD declaration

CPD declarations are made on the Law Society's Registry.

  1. Log in with your lawyer ID (six digit number that is on your practising certificate) and password.
  2. Click on Declarations on the left-hand list of menu items. Here you will find all your declarations that need to be completed.
  3. Under Continuing Professional Development (CPD), click on the blue box: Make a CPD Declaration
  4. Tick the box corresponding to the CPD year for which you wish to make a declaration.
  5. Click on Save to complete your declaration – a green bar will appear under the title ‘Continuing Professional Development’ telling you your CPD declaration has been saved successfully.

Under exceptional circumstances, you can apply for permission to defer the CPD requirements
