Batt Law is a litigation law practice specialising in a wide range of litigation including Family Law, Employment Law, Civil litigation, Estate law and Māori Land Law.

With the availability of modern technology, we receive work from many sources in the lower North Island and further afield, and travel to Courts outside the Wairarapa when required. We are Family Legal Advice Service (FLAS) providers, and Family and Civil legal aid providers.

Our practice is changing and we are seeking to employ two lawyers, one of approximately 2 years’ experience and a second, more senior, litigator to join our Masterton office.

We are a small team offering a stimulating and supportive workplace, and pride ourselves on the work that we do and the outcomes that we achieve for our clients. We enjoy a healthy work life balance and take a collaborative approach to our cases, utilizing our collective knowledge.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for Court work, strong communication and advocacy skills and be able to work professionally whilst also positively contributing to our team. Although we tend to focus on areas of litigation that we have experience in we would be very happy to extend the range of work we do, and we are keen to expand the practice to include criminal law work so having Criminal PAL 3 would be ideal.
