PLS Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is responsible for the management and overall governance of PLS. The Executive consists of nine members elected by full PLS members.

A term of office is three years and only a full member of PLS is eligible to be elected. In addition, the Executive has the power to co-opt three extra members for a fixed term of up to three years.

Kristine King

Kristine King is the chair of the PLS Executive Committee.  She has practised law since 2003, and is a director at DK Law, a boutique law firm based in Kingsland, Auckland. Kristine specialises in property, commercial, elder law and trust law, with a particular interest in residential tenancy matters. She is well-regarded in the legal community for her professionalism and dedication, frequently contributing to law and community groups through webinars, conferences and white papers. 

She is actively involved as a Law Society volunteer, serving as an executive committee member of the Property Law Section since 2019 and contributing to The Property Lawyer magazine. Additionally, she is lawyer member of the Ministry of Justice Lawyers & Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal and is the lawyer consultant to the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers' Standards Committee.  Kristine was also co-convenor of the PLS Property Law Reform Panel, contributing to the Law Society’s submissions on behalf of the profession. 

Kristine is also a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, reflecting her leadership and governance expertise.
