The Law Society is engaging with the legal profession across the motu about how, together, we can achieve a profession that better reflects the community it serves.
We are starting with panel discussions in Wellington on Tuesday 25 November and in Auckland on Wednesday 3 December.
In the spirit of manaakitanga, we wish to work with and listen to a range of voices so that we foster shared ownership of the challenges we face and help to ensure the profession better reflects the community that it serves. We have an impressive cross-section of panellists who will share their experiences and challenges in the pursuit of gender equality and discuss and identify new actions that the profession can take.
Chief Executive Katie Rusbatch will also share the results of our 2025 Gender Equality Survey and our Snapshot of the Profession 2025.
We warmly welcome all members of the profession to our panel discussions.
Your input to this engagement process will help inform the strategic direction and a plan of action for the profession around gender equality and supporting diversity and inclusion. We’ll keep you informed on ways to contribute.
Come and hear the discussion and join the kōrero about gender equality and the future of the profession. There is no charge for entry.
