We’ve built this new system to improve how lawyers, including members, interact with the Law Society’s Representative (member) services team, such as registering for events and tracking CPD. While there was a member portal previously, Law Society Connect offers a more streamlined, secure, and user-friendly experience. It brings together membership, event registration, CPD tracking, and profile management into one centralised portal, making it easier to manage your professional engagement with the Law Society. We will continue to maintain the Registry system, which holds all the public register information the Law Society is required to keep under the Act, and routine compliance data such as CPD and fit and proper declarations (required to be completed by lawyers for the annual renewal of their practising certificate).
This new system is designed to support lawyers engage with our Representative (member) services team. Lawyers will continue to use Registry for the same purposes as now. To keep things easy for the profession, lawyers will use the same Registry log-in and password for Law Society Connect.
