Juno Legal welcomes new lawyers
Juno Legal has announced that Ruth James and Suz Kuru have joined the Wellington and Taranaki teams.
Ruth James – Te-Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
Ruth James brings over 10 years’ experience in regulatory, human rights, and privacy law, with a strong background in statutory frameworks. She has led legal functions at the Social Workers Registration Board in Aotearoa and Australia and held roles at the Office of the Ombudsman (OPCAT), Engineering New Zealand, and the Independent Police Conduct Authority. As a Juno Lawyer, Ruth is supporting the Department of Internal Affairs. She holds an LLB and BA from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
Suz Kuru – Taranaki
Suz Kuru has 10 years’ experience in the legal profession, specialising in infrastructure, regulatory law, and public sector governance, including fast-track consenting. She has held senior legal roles at the Environmental Protection Authority and has previously worked at New Plymouth District Council, Bell Gully, Morrison Kent, and Spark NZ. Suz is supporting Juno client Waikato Waters. She holds an LLB and BA from Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Canterbury.
