One of the Law Society's most valued roles is to provide an informed and reasoned voice for lawyers and for the public on bills referred to select committee and discussion papers from government agencies and other bodies. Read below for our current work.

Serious Fraud Office Amendment Bill introduced  

This Government Bill, which seeks to amend the Serious Fraud Act 1990 to update provisions relating to search warrants and evidence admissibility has been introduced. Crown Land Legislation Amendment Bill introduced 

This Government Bill, which seeks to make targeted changes to the management of Crown land to enable greater economic returns to Crown pastoral leaseholders and the Crown has been introduced.
