New Zealand Law Society - Health and Disability Law Committee

Health and Disability Law Committee

The Health Disability Law Committee makes submissions on proposed changes in health law.

About us

The Health and Disability Law Committee was established in 2023 to monitor and comment on proposals for legislative, regulatory or other change, and contribute to advocacy in the areas of:

  • health and disability law; and
  • the accident compensation scheme.

It is led by co-convenors: one with expertise in accident compensation law, and one with expertise in health/medico-legal issues. Collectively, the Committee has a broad mix of experience and expertise across all areas of health, disability, and accident compensation law.
