We are Aotearoa New Zealand’s privacy regulator – an Independent Crown Entity established to protect and promote individual privacy.
The Investigations and Dispute Resolution Team assess and investigate privacy complaints from members of the public. The objective, wherever possible, is to investigate privacy issues quickly and pragmatically and resolve these using robust dispute resolution processes and frameworks.
Ko te tūranga - the role
We are looking for an Investigator to join our team. We have a preference for the person to be placed in our Wellington office but will consider Auckland-based applicants.
This is a busy role where you will manage your own complaint files, supported with mentoring from senior staff and working in a tight knit team.
You will likely have relevant work experience and a strong interest in case management and ADR. You will be comfortable dealing with cases of complexity and challenge requiring sound technical knowledge, advanced people skills and good judgement. There will be occasions where you will be responding to challenging issues, so resilience and strong relationship skills are key to thriving in this role.
