Are you a talented lawyer looking to advance your career in a progressive, full-service law firm with a strong local presence and national reputation? Holland Beckett, one of New Zealand’s largest provincial practices, are now seeking solicitors to join their Property and Commercial teams.
Founded in 1937, Holland Beckett has grown into a dynamic and innovative firm with offices in Tauranga, Rotorua, and Whakatāne, employing over 160 professionals. In 2025, they proudly moved into their new landmark Tauranga office in the Northern Quarter, playing an active role in revitalising the city centre.
Their teams combine top-level legal expertise with deep local knowledge, delivering timely, strategic, and practical advice. While they are deeply rooted in the Bay of Plenty, their size, specialist teams, and national capabilities mean their clients include local, national, and international businesses and individuals.
We are excited to be partnering with Holland Beckett in their search to recruit several solicitors with 2–6 years’ PQE to join their Property and Commercial teams. You’ll work on a diverse range of matters, including commercial property acting for landlords and property owners, residential, commercial, rural, and subdivision transactions, rural property matters including the kiwifruit industry, business transactions such as the sale and purchase of businesses and shares, business structuring and shareholder agreements, estate planning and asset protection, local authority work supporting councils and public entities, and Māori Land Law commercial and property transactions.
Above all, we are looking for lawyers who are professional, adaptable, and committed to providing value to clients, while embracing a workplace that encourages collaboration, development, and balance.
Holland Beckett offer challenging and varied work with quality clients, alongside ongoing professional development and training to help you grow your expertise. They support a healthy work-life balance through flexible work arrangements and provide a market-leading salary with discretionary bonuses. Their firm fosters a supportive culture, offering wellness initiatives, regular social events, and career support including mentoring, coaching, study benefits, and EAP services.
They are also deeply committed to the community, providing opportunities for pro bono work and charitable initiatives.
