NZLS CLE Subdivisions Intensive 18 October 2022

From the Chair: Thomas Gibbons, Thomas Gibbons Law, Hamilton

Subdivisions involve unique legal and practical issues. Many of the thorny issues span different statutes, and aren’t described in any textbook. Even with effective project management, getting to titles (and so payments from purchasers) can become a race against time and process.

All subdivisions involve common steps, but not all subdivisions are alike. RMA reforms will give life to further intensification of many urban areas. Problems with various types of tenure – cross leases, unit titles, vesting of roads – continue to emerge. Topics such as sunset clauses and cost escalations have received widespread attention. Developments in Landonline and LINZ processes also need to be understood.

Spanning a variety of topics and areas, and with a range of expert presenters, this intensive will keep you up to date with key issues and how to resolve them. See you there!
