Gowns for daily court use

The Law Library holds a small selection of gowns available for hire to lawyers.  Gown hire charges apply.

Auckland High Court

Gowns are available for hire from the Auckland Library on a daily basis or for extended periods. We recommend booking in advance using this form.

Wellington High Court

Gowns are available for hire from the Wellington Library on a daily basis or for extended periods. We recommend booking in advance using this form. 

Christchurch

Three gowns are available for hire at the Canterbury Library to lawyers for court work only.

Traditional court attire

NZ wide: Wigs, gowns and bibs, for all ceremonial occasions can be hired from The Graduation Place.  The company offers a country-wide service. Advance booking is essential.
