New Zealand Law Society - Library charges
The 2026/2027 Practising Certificate renewals are open. Please renew by 30 June 2026.
Library clients will receive an invoice upon completion of the request and can choose to add matter numbers to each query for ease of disbursement.
All prices are exclusive of GST.
New pricing for Library Services will take effect as of 1 July 2026.

Requestors can specify a maximum number of units.
A document may include: a case, legislation, excerpts from commentary or texts, a journal article, precedent etc.

Charges include flat fee per document + photocopying & scanning per page (if applicable), no additional charge for documents already in digital format (downloads).
Photocopying and scanning is court-ready quality.

Purchase an access card for after-hours access to the Auckland, Wellington and Canterbury Libraries.
NB - MOJ courthouses require access cards which can be used to access the Lawyers Room Kiosk - speak to the court registrar or security team for further information.
